Multi-Engine Piston (MEP)

Class Rating

A holder of a MEP(Land) class rating is able to act as pilot in command of a MEP(Land) class aircraft. The rating is valid for 12 months.

The course includes theoretical ground training on subjects associated with the operation of multi engine piston aircraft, which culminates in a written examination. It includes elements, some of which are generic and some of which are specific to the type of aeroplane to be used on the course.

Flight training comprises at least 2 hours 30 minutes of dual flight instruction under normal operations and not less than 3 hours and 30 minutes of dual flight instruction in engine failure procedures and asymmetric (one engine inoperative) flight techniques.

    • 70 hours Pilot in Command

The MEP Course enrolment  fee is payable up-front, is non-refundable and is valid for 6 months. All training fees are pay-as-you-fly.
